  • Sanitation Technician  

    - Austin

    Overview

    The Sanitation Technician is responsible for supporting the Company's sanitation food safety program by focusing on proper cleaning and sanitizing of plant equipment and building in a manner that meets and complies with all food safety policies, FDA and OSHA regulations.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Perform basic wash area duties including running a pan washer, cleaning utensils by hand when needed, etc.;
    • Perform basic machine disassembly/setup for cleaning (e.g., covers, piping, cover electrical with plastic);
    • Complete cleaning tasks per Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs);
    • Recognize and address equipment needing deep cleaning;
    • Properly use chemicals to perform cleaning tasks effectively and safely;
    • Perform basic janitorial duties (e.g., emptying garbage, sweeping, stocking supplies, cleaning restrooms, break rooms and common areas);
    • Report employee safety, food safety, and quality concerns to appropriate personnel;
    • Comply with all employee safety/food safety requirements, training, policies, and procedures;
    • Perform other required tasks as assigned.

    Job Requirements

    • High School Diploma or GED preferred;
    • Minimum one year working in a food plant as a sanitor cleaning equipment/machines preferred but not required;
    • Basic knowledge of pre-rinse/wash/rinse/sanitize steps;
    • Basic knowledge of top-down washing sequence for proper food safety;
    • Basic knowledge of sanitation chemical usage;
    • Basic knowledge of lock out/tag out programs;
    • Ability to learn how to clean all plant lines;
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as a team to complete assigned tasks;
    • Regular and predictable attendance and available to work weekends during peak periods.

  • Maintenance Technician  

    - Mower County

    Overview The Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring equipment reliability by repairing and maintaining a wide range of processing equipment across the plant. Job Responsibilities • Ensure safety and food-safety by following all company, OSHA, and government rules and procedures including; Lock-out / Tag-out procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's), personal safety, and food safety/SQF Program standards; • Effectively support the Preventative Maintenance (PM) program with a goal of continually reducing unscheduled downtime; • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and develop sustainable solutions for issues with equipment to include; PLC controlled equipment, plant electrical, hydraulic/pneumatic, and mechanical systems including motors, instrumentation, distribution, and feed control systems; • Complete all assigned work orders within the time allotted; • Maintain complete records of work performed using software, work orders and detailed logs; • Assist with equipment change overs and line startups, troubleshooting issues as needed; • Identify required parts and maintain current inventories, and parts reorder lists; • Act with a Continuous Improvement mindset seeking areas of opportunity for improvement and participating in cross-functional CI focused projects; • Repair sinks, hoses, water lines, toilets, and plumbing equipment; • Maintain wheels on racks, tubs, transits and ensure they are greased and in good working order; • Complete all building repairs; maintain walls, ceilings, and floors in good repair; • Contact refrigeration contractor when needed for maintenance or repair of refrigeration and/or HVAC system is needed; • Assist with installation of new equipment; • Performs other required tasks as assigned. Job Requirements • Associates or Bachelor' degree in related field (technical or vocational education) highly preferred but not required; • Minimum of two (2) years maintenance experience or 5 years related trade experience required; • Working knowledge of electrical, motor controls, main distribution, process control, wiring and components. • Maintenance Technician certification highly desired; • Six months or more of experience in the food processing/manufacturing preferred; • Proficient in use of basic machine tools and hand tools; • Proficient in use of basic electrical trouble-shooting equipment; • Ability to read specifications and pay attention to detail; • Ability to communicate effectively; • Detail oriented and self-motivated.
