The speech pathologist provides services to patients of all ages as ordered immediately post trauma, surgery, acute medical event or exacerbation. Speech pathologists assist patients to reach their highest level of function in the areas of communication and swallowing. The SLP makes recommendations for the next level of care and also provides education and to patients and their families. Speech pathologists participate in specialty teams including pediatric, neonatal care, assistive technology, and endoscopic voice/swallowing assessments.     Description :Responsible for the Medical Staff Services Office processes in accordance with the Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules & Regulations, and corresponding policies; has proficient knowledge of accreditation standards, Federal and State regulations, including National Practitioner Data Bank (NPDB). Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with medical staff officers, department chairpersons, and administration to support and enhance the functions of the organized medical staff.
